今日の奥さんからの週刊タイムトラベルはがきは、

Rise and shine

お母さんが朝起きない子供に言う古い言い回しのようだ。聞いたことないけど。

Rise and shine!  (old-fashioned)

something that you say to tell someone to get out of bed and start their day Rise and shine, sleepy head - you have to leave for school in twenty minutes.

 

お母さんに起こされていた子供のころが懐かしい。

 

海外では結構朝早く起きるので、起こされることはないし、一人調査団だから誰も起こしてくれない。

 

うちの夫婦は、太陽と月の関係。当然、奥さんが太陽だが、曇りの日もあるから、そういう時は僕が満月となる。しかし、太陽の力には到底及ばない。

 

いい関係が、1982年以来、もう31年続いている。
