５１２：第６回世界水フォーラムはマルセイユだった

WWCからの新年のメールが来た。一応情報は得ているが頻繁に動向をチェックすることが減っていて最新情報を得ていなかった。

最重要事項としては、第６回世界水フォーラムが公式にフランスのマルセイユになったことか。南アのダーバンだと思っていたのだが。

２０１２年だから２年後となる。奥さんと二人で参加しようと思っていたので南アからマルセイユになれば経費節減にもなるし、観光旅行としても魅力的になった。１０月には決まっていたのだから情報収集能力のなさを反省している。それだけWWCの勢いも低下したかも知れない。

マルセイユはWWCの本部があり、第６回でいよいよ出発地点に戻ったことになる。

Signing of the Agreement for the 6th World Water Forum
This is now official: the 6th World Water Forum will be held in Marseille, France, in March 2012. Chantal Jouanno, Secretary of State for Ecology, Jean-Claude Gaudin, Mayor of Marseille and Loïc Fauchon, President of the World Water Council signed on Tuesday 15 October the agreement binding the parties (French Government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, City of Marseille and WWC).



The signing ceremony took place during the 5th General Assembly of the World Water Council, in presence of some 250 WWC members gathered in "Parc Chanot", venue for the 6th Forum.
