９８６：水を差すつもりはないのですが。。。

どうも年を取ったせいか、最近のコンサルの方々と話すとあまりにも子供じみた素人的なコメントが多いので愕然となる。日本のＯＤＡだけやっているからか。欧米で数年留学している人も結構いるが英語力も高校生程度じゃね。大人としての成熟した英語力がほとんどない。

まあ、ある程度の実務経験はあるのだろうが、国際ゴロと喧々諤々の議論はできそうもないな、と思ってしまう。自分が末席を汚すという意識が強いが、もう５０代も半ば、もう黙って聞いてはいられないのが実情だ。

水を差すつもりはありませんが、という感じで発言することが多くなった。

さて、本題に移ろう。

このブログもアメリカからのアクセスが日本に次いで多い。アクセスされている方々も日ごろ英語ではお悩みがあることだろう。実際、１０年以上滞在しないと本物にはなれない。数年で帰国して英語力があると錯覚してはいけない。まあ大きなお世話だが。

最近は映画のデジタル化が進み、セリフなどはほぼ１００％文字化できる。だから、映画の中で使われるちょっといい表現は活字で確認できるので楽しい。

例えば、主題の英語表現で使われる、wet blanketを使った表現は３８の作品で使われ３９の使われ方が分かるという仕組みだ。作品を指定し、洒落た表現を検索することもできる。

英語力を洗練させないと水管理に関するコンサルティングサービスはできない。英語での表現力と発言力が問われている。日々努力が必要だ。帰国子女程度の子供英語じゃだめなんですよね。
