４５：Nexus？

ここ何年かで目にするのはNexusである。

Water Energy Nexus（例えば数年前までの中央アジア）
Water Energy Environment Nexus（アメリカ）
Water Energy Food Nexus（今の中央アジア）

連携とか関係でいいだろうか。integratedよりは無理が無い。結びつきを考慮して総合的に考えようよ、という程度か。

さて、energyやenvironmentでもintegrated managementが存在する。energyの場合はwaterよりは具体的・限定的で非常に分かりやすい。environmentについてはあまりフォローしていない。waterと似たり寄ったりだろう。

電力システムの場合のIEMの中身では、下記の例がアメリカにある。

�Lead collaboration with other SmartGrid leadership companies

�Develop alternatives for T&D load capacity challenges
�Identify building and office efficiency opportunities
�Align IEM strategy and plan with environmental and climate change point of view

パワーシステムはすっきりしていて分かりやすい。水はそうもいかないのはご承知の通りだ。

ここでいうEPRIはアメリカ電力研究所でこれまで最先端の電力システム最適化を引っ張ってきた。小生は９０年代電力システムの施設拡張計画の最適化を担当していたが、EPRIが開発したソフトをベースに行なっていた。その延長戦で考えれば上記のIEMは非常に分かりやすい。

来年のWWF５ではWater for energyがひとつのテーマになっているとWWCの会長であるフォーションさんはこの前東京で言っていた。energy側はどう考えているのだろうか？水道事業でのエネルギー利用は世界で凡そ３％だそうだ。

water for energyとenergy for waterとではずいぶんな相違がありそうだ。
