７６０：ユネスコからのニュース

2009年に国連世界水開発報告書第3版が発行されたが、下記に示すようにユネスコから第4版の準備が始まったようだ。今度の世界水フォーラムに発表するのだろう。

後少しで世界水週間がストックホルムで開催される。こちらの様子もいずれどこからかの報告が入るであろう。

ご存知の通り、WWDR3は読みでがあるが、水管理だけ読んでも参考になるので一読をお勧めする。水管理の実践に係る課題と解決というのが重要なんだけどね。期待にこたえられるかが注目される。コンサルは開発し構造物を作ることだけに興味があり、管理は知らないということではいけない。

グラントだと中小コンサルが与えられた条件で建設することしか考えていないから、彼らが水セクター全体を概観し、ニーズの多様性や変化を全く無視して30年前と同じように同じ業務を無難に展開するのを見ていると、同じコンサルでも随分違うなーと感じてしまう。結果として、会社の業務全体を凋めてしまうのにね。職人気質の悪い点でもある。自分も気をつけたいが。

ABOUT THE WWDR4

Preparing the 4th edition of the UN World Water Development Report (WWDR4)
Soon after the launch of the 3rd edition of the United Nations World Water Development Report (WWDR3), “Water in a Changing World”, in March 2009, WWAP began work on the development of the 4th edition of the Report.

Similar to the approach for production of the WWDR3, WWAP intends to involve decision-makers and stakeholders inside and outside the “water box” in the production process to ensure that the Report is relevant to the targeted audiences and provides solutions for actions on water-related issues.
