２２４６：5月4日朝8時、今日移動だ

朝ごはんを食べて休息。

まだ8時で、11時にチェックアウト。そして空港に向かう。お昼前後の便はいいね。早朝や深夜は疲れる。

テレビはCNN。オバマ大統領の第100回コレスポンデントディナーのスピーチをやっている。彼が会場を笑わせたジョーク5個。ジョークって文化だから、アメリカの最新事情を知らないと笑えないよね。

なんか風邪引いたかな。風邪薬を飲む。これから洗濯物の強制乾燥。ホテルのドライヤーを使う。アイロンでも借りられればいいのだが。洗濯物が2日で乾かないのも部屋のせいか。

そうそう、CNNでの日本の技術援助の第3弾。村落給水。国はルワンダ。コンサルか協力隊がAfridevの修理を指導している。まあいいことなんですけどね。Afridevなのに、その国では手漕ぎポンプ付深井戸を「日本製」と言っているという。ほんとかね。ちょっと無理があるね。アフリカでも多くの国で深井戸建設やリハビリをやっているけど、全国的には日本の貢献度は精々数％。多くの国際機関やNGOも昔から協力しているし、深井戸を日本製と呼ぶ国を僕は知らない。あのタイプはAfridev。人道的な意味合いというのは見ていて分かるけど、そういう支援をいつまで続けるか、いう大きな課題があるのだ。もっとマクロなアプローチを宣伝したらいいんじゃないの。

さて、洗濯もの乾燥作業に入ろう。3時間あるね。
